Acne Vulgaris, a chronic inflammatory disorder affecting the hair follicles, is intricately linked to the functioning of the lymphatic system. This system is pivotal in addressing acne, as it addresses underlying causes that lead to breakouts. Our skin, acting as an elimination organ, reflects the burden on the lymphatic system. Various triggers, including diet, hormones, lifestyle factors, mold exposure, and medications, can exacerbate acne. Disruption of the skin barriers further heightens susceptibility to breakouts. Remarkably, about one-third of our lymph nodes are located in the face and neck regions, with lymph fluid draining above the collarbones. This is another reason why acne is most commonly manifests in the face and neck. Tightness in muscles and fascia can slow the delivery of oxygen and essential nutrients to the skin, hindering the healing process. We take all this into account at Sous La when treating the inflammatory disorder acne is.
