Everything You Need to Know

  • Thorough cleansing of the skin
  • Photos are taken for your private file to track your journey (1-3 treatments, 4 weeks apart recommended for best results) 
  • Gel is applied over the desired treatment area and then intense pulsed light (IPL) is used all over face. Sensation feels like a mild elastic band snap (eye protection to be provided) 
  • A gentle cleanse is performed to remove all gel 
  • Signature Sous La finishing products are applied to soothe the skin
  • Lightens hyper pigmentation, age and sunspots
  • Improves over all complexion and reduces redness
  • Brightens and gives skin a more youthful appearance
  • Reduces appearance of vascular lesions such as facial spider veins, broken capillaries and telangiectasia
  • May improve appearance of pores

BEFORE

  • Must wait two weeks after Botox and four weeks after filler. Recommend waiting 24-hours if injectables are performed after treatment. (Speak with injector directly)
  • Must stop all retinols, AHA/BHA’s, or any actives one week before treatment

AFTER

  • Skin may have mild redness from the treatment but normally subsites 1-4 hours post treatment
  • Dark spots will become darker 48-72 hours and may feel textured like coffee grinds. It is recommended to let skin naturally purge pigment on its own. Refrain from picking at skin post treatment
  • Skin may feel dry post treatment, medical grade skincare is recommended to help the skin barrier remain nourished and hydrated
  • Avoid direct sunlight for two weeks post treatment (tanning or outdoor exposure for longer than 15 minutes. Hat and mineral sunscreen is always recommended)
  • No sauna or hot/ sweaty workouts for 24-hours post treatment
  • No makeup recommended for 24-hours after treatment
  • Any actives such as retinol should not be used two weeks post treatment

Most clients reporting significant reduction in lines and dark spots within 3 weeks of the initial treatment. Lumecca™ delivers up to 3 times more energy in the 500-600 nm range which improves efficacy for pigmented. Lumecca™ has been designed with a post cooling setting making it less painful than traditional IPL treatments and also allows the ability for 2 passes.
